Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL is latest flagship phones released by Google which was made available in trending market these days. These new handsets have been met with much excitement as expected but also some worrying reports.
Even after the update to Android 8.0 Oreo, problems continued to bombard the users around the world.
Here are some problems faced by the users in recent times :
◎Google pixel WiFi problems.
Just like we see every smartphone release for Android or IOS a lot of users are complaining about WiFi. Whether that be speed drops or connectivity. Typically this is just a little glitch that is easily fixed. When one faces such an issue, it is recommended to reset the home routers or modems.
◎Pixel Bluetooth problem
With so many different devices we always see Bluetooth complaints. Pixel never had a single issue until it was updated to Android 8.0 Oreo. Now, we are seeing widespread complaints on Nexus and Pixel devices. It appears that even after 4-5
months of beta testing Bluetooth still isn’t right. Some report the Bluetooth randomly drops or turns off by itself. However, we have a good news on this front that the company promised a software update to Android 8.1 Oreo starting in November, and that should finally fix Bluetooth once and for all.
◎Pixel Camera Problems
Google claims the Pixel and XL have the best smartphone camera on the planet. It received the highest score ever from independent reviews, and so far most owners absolutely love it. Sadly, there does seem to be a hardware issue with ALL Pixel phones, but Google made some tweaks to fix this. Android 7.1.2 added more tweaks to improve the camera.
We’re talking about lens flare, which happens on all cameras, especially expensive DSLR’s. That’s why big lenses come with hoods to block out reflecting light. Some users are seeing a flare of light in photos, or a ring. Many use this for artistic purposes, but it’s happening more than it should on Pixel.
◎Pixel Missing Text Messages Problem
Since the update to Oreo, millions of Pixel owners have voiced frustration over missing text messages. For whatever reason SMS messages fail, don’t send, or don’t come in like they should. Having text message problems is extremely frustrating.

◎OLED screen burns in pixel
Screen burn-in is an issue that typically affects OLED screens as they age. Because the light producing components of a screen decay at different rates depending on what is being displayed.
It usually takes a while for this kind of display wears to build up depending on factors like screen brightness, the image being displayed, and the type of hardware — it could take years. However, according to Alex Dobie of Android Central, this is apparent on the Google Pixel 2 XL he has been using after just a week or normal use.
◎Oleophobic coating wears off
Last but not the least, The oleophobic coating provides a certain amount of finger smudge resistance to your smartphone’s display; it doesn’t make it fingerprint proof, mind you, but keeps the grease at bay, not allowing it to adhere to the glass. This is why a simple wipe with a soft cloth will often leave the smartphone looking brand new, without the use of any extra cleaning solutions
Some Pixel 2 XL owners are now reporting that the oleophobic coating on the glass is wearing off after just a few weeks of use.The oleophobic coating will eventually wear off on any phone, but typically after months of years of use. For Pixel 2 XL users to be seeing it happen just weeks after the phone launched is an anomaly.
